E.L.F. First Try

I know I know. When I am telling you I've never tried an e.l.f. product before I am so serious. I just never thought that those little one dollar makeup products could be so good. I changed my mind totally after trying out some products. I tried 5 things and in this review you will read about two of them: the mineral booster from the mineral line and the stipple brush from the studio line. I think both lines are absolutely adorable and e.l.f. has a wide range of products: I want to try it all! Click read more to see what effect this mineral booster had on my skin.

On the left photo I do not wear any makeup at all and on the right photo I only wear the mineral booster. On the package it already says it's very sheer and appropriate for all skin tones. It also highlights the fact that it will make your skin soft. I am very pleased with this product. It makes my blemishes a little more discrete and it makes my face look so much healthier! It also really felt like my skin was softer and because it's so sheer I definitely believe this product is for all skin tones!

Another thing this mineral booster does, is mattifying my face. It will be a good option to wear it on top of a foundation or just on a clean skin. On the package it says it makes your skin feel softer because of the vitamins A, B and E. If you want a full coverage powder, this is not the right powder. I never use foundation normally (only for very special occasions because I always get a lot of blemishes) so this will be perfect to use on a daily basis.

Another product I am very very very pleased with is this stipple brush. I really needed such a brush in my brush collection! It's kind of an all-round brush. You can apply liquid foundation as well as a compact powder, bronzer, blush or highlighter. What I like about this brush, is the following fact: it takes a lot of pigment parts in it and this brush is so easy to work with. It feels soft and is easy to work with. You can make a stippling motion as well as blending. The only tiny little disadvantage: it lost a couple of hairs when I was applying my foundation.

In the end I think this brush is really nice. It has many functions and feels nice on your skin. Unfortunate for those hairs, but I am going to use this brush definitely more often! Maybe I will buy some more makeup brushes from e.l.f.

Untill now I think e.l.f. did a really good job. What do you think about e.l.f.? Did you try it or are you a newbie just as me?

  11. I first tried e.l.f. a couple of months ago when my Benefit brow kit ran out - and I am a total convert! It was somewhere around £3 instead of £25 for the Benefit one, and honestly, it's actually better for me! xx
