There were 3 different 'talking rounds'. Between these interesting sayings, two guys from the band Valerius performed. I really think they are good singers and it was so nice to be able to hear their music life. Unfortunately in the beginning there were problems with the sound but the second time it went well.
Who were there?
The show had guest speakers like Linda Tol, Marie-Lou Witmer, Philip Hillege, Chantal Riedeman and Pieter-Bas Broeke. There was an interesting conversation about trends, art, customers and retail. Linda Tol is a fashion blogger from the Netherlands. I really love her blog and she travels around Europe to visit fashion weeks and style party's. I would love to visit a fashion week in my life because you always see the amazing fashion photos. To be the first one to see this fashion must be a real honor. Witmer is the director of Witmer Consultancy. A company that is specialized in brand and trend strategy. Pieter-Bas Broeke is responsible for the success of WeAreLabels and Philip Hillege is responsible for different companies who are specialized in skin and hair care. There was also a great retailer, a columnist and another men specialized in brands and retail.
So, what did they say?
There are different kind of stores and everyone has a different opinion about what is good. They were talking about multi brand stores (who sell different brands) and single brand stores (who only sell one brand). The most important discussion was about the experience of customers in your shop. After a potential customer has reached your shop, it must be able to find what he/she is looking for. You can make sure she buys something by arranging your shop and have a great product presentation. Also you need to have skilled staff who gives the customers a perfect advise. Clients must be able to try your products and get full attention. I totally agree with this. As a company you must always put the client on a higher position as yourself and do everything to guarantee a great experience. Finally you need to be able to work hard and have some sense of smart.
My conversation with Linda Tol
After the talk show you were able to talk and connect with other people. I went to Linda Tol and asked her a few questions about blogging. She told me that it really takes time before your blog gets big. Also, she is now seen as a style icon which really helps her growing her audience. She is invited to a lot of shows and that's also her aim. What I really liked about her is that she was really friendly and she wears all the clothes she wears on her blog in real life as well. It's so good to know that it's not just for the shoot. She started blogging together with a man but continued on her own when he stopped. Next to blogger she does so many more, she is, for example, a hair model. Honestly, I saw that one coming. I love her hair!
I am really curious what you think of this post and my blog. I would love to hear what I can improve to make sure you have a better feeling reading my blog. See you!
P.s. I am sorry for the bad quality of the photos. They were taken with my iPhone 5 so that's why.
